Prototype Devlog - Jun


This week I'm working on the prototype of our horror game. The main goal is to create an empty and scary atmosphere that makes the player feel tense. I started with modelling a 3D model of a barn to fits the theme for the game. After finishing the model, I brought it into Unity and started laying out the scene to get a better sense of the overall mood.

After laying out the model I started creating a simple character movement so I can walk around and test how it feels in the world. After that I worked on to making the next mechanics adding collectables. These items give players a purpose to explore the area more. To add even more feel for the game, I added a soundtrack of a cricket's sound to add more tense. The audio is already making the game feel more tense and gives a scary mood. Lastly, I added a fog to add more tense.
