DevLog 3 - Laila


My objective for this week has primarily been to work on the more central components of the game, and to further expand on the existing elements we've been building on. This mainly involved working on the code and writing new scripts for the game's systems, such as tweaking the item interaction / pick-up system, working on the player's health alongside the enemy interaction,  the jump-scare trigger, and generally tidying up my code!

Additionally, I added a few small bits around the game's scenes; some foliage and decoration around the levels, environmental textures and a spawn sound effect for the monster.  Moving forward, I plan to expand on these and focus on implementing more visuals / sfx throughout the game, on top of working on finalizing mechanics so that we can build towards creating a playable vertical slice of the game.
